| Name: | Kururugi Suzaku O to the U to the Kururu (-chan) |
|---|
Character: Kururugi Suzaku
Series/Fandom: Code Geass [Anime]
Original or Alternate: Original
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: …Human
Sexuality: I don’t know.
Appearance: Suzaku is Japanese. His hair is a generic brown, cut short and barely styled. His eyes are a bright green, and it is noticeable. His height is average: shorter than the other boys, but taller than the girls. His build is thin and wiry, with toned muscles and no extra flesh to obscure them. He carries himself like a warrior, tall and aware, and moves like one, too: quick, efficient, and strong.
Personality: Suzaku is a responsible, loyal, caring individual. Highly skilled in combat, he is a formidable opponent and often surprises the people around him with what he can do. Cats hate him, but everyone else loves him and he greatly appreciates their kindness. He is an optimist, refusing to break the rules to turn right what he sees as wrong and hoping the system can still be salvaged and put right legally and safely. He likes to have faith in his friends to be good, kind individuals, and this has led to recent heartbreak for him that has made him cold, unresponsive, vengeful, and angry.
Abilities/Strengths:
Suzaku is a trained martial artist and accomplished (mecha) pilot. In his series, he constantly surprises people with feats of his strength and agility, going so far as to run up walls, jump across rooms, dive (on purpose) through stained glass, outrun bullets, aerial spin kick across a span of twenty feet, lift the foot of his mech with his bare hands… It’s as if his strength started out serious and has developed into an on-going joke. He’s very strong, he’s very fast, he’s very agile, it’s very insane.
Weaknesses:
Suzaku physically has very little weaknesses, except possibly that cats love to gnaw on him, but mentally he comes up short. He’s not a strategist, he doesn’t plan ahead very well, he reacts on gut feelings, and then his brain breaks. Suzaku regrets much about his past and reminding him of his father, of Japan’s loss, of Princess Euphemia, or anything else that went terribly wrong has a high chance of stopping him in his tracks while he angsts instead of paying attention.
Notable Possessions: A gun, which will be taken from him, his wallet (King of small cash; not that it helps, here), his Magnificent Cloak~, Euphemia’s pin (Badge) and pen ( Quill style), his cell phone, and the key to the Lancelot (But no Lancelot ((His mecha)) to use it with.).
History: Suzaku was born and raised in Japan and has Japanese blood flowing through his veins, so of course in the futuristic world where the Brittanian Empire has taken control of most of Earth and most recently Japan, he is worth nothing. It doesn’t even matter that his closest friend, Lelouch, was an heir to the throne, or that his family graciously housed him for a period of time while they were growing.
When Lulu moved to a safer place of residence, the two lost all contact and only met up again after Japan had fallen and was renamed Area 11, when a secret weapon was being transported and both of them, and only them, aside from the woman neither of them knew about inside the capsule, were caught in the transportation vehicle.
Suzaku joined the Brittanian army at the first chance he got to do it. Except he was an Eleven, and so was not trusted to do anything right or anything important. It took a scientist working on an experimental Knightmare Frame to, almost literally, yank him up a few ranks. He was still viewed as the lowliest of lowly soldiers, but now doubled as a secret weapon in battle and his mad scientist savior insisted he was the only one who could pilot it, and was thereby valuable.
Princess Euphemia, whom had met Suzaku in passing, insisted he attend school and just happened to pick the same Britannian-run school that Lelouch attends. In a heated spur of the moment, Euphemia declared Suzaku her knight and up a few more ranks he rose.
In the midst of trying to give the Japanese some of their pride back, something went terribly wrong and Princess Euphemia was killed by Zero, the mask and name Lelouch donned when fighting against Britannia under the guise of terrorism. This left Suzaku to chase after her murderer, seeking revenge, without any knowledge that he was chasing his best friend, too.
They meet on a small island off the coast of Japan and it is here that Suzaku unmasks Zero and declares his intent to rid the world of Zero, even if he is Lelouch. After a short, physical clash Suzaku defeats Lelouch and takes him to the emperor of Britannia, offering to trade the terrorist for a higher position in the military, that of Knight of Seven in the elite Knights of the Round.
And the emperor accepts the deal.
Lelouch’s memories are erased and he is made to believe he is a normal student, again. Suzaku leaves school to work as a Knight of Rounds and only returns to make sure Lelouch has not regained said memories. It is during this time in his life that the consulo drags him away~
